It came to my attention recently that a lot of people are having trouble sleeping which is affecting their quality of life – not only at night, but also during the daytime.
If your sleep pattern is interrupted it can lead to all sorts of problems, such as tiredness, irritability, lack of concentration and generally affecting your mood – while at work, or with friends and family.
This could be quite a common occurrence these days. Did you know that there is actually an organisation called The Sleep Charity? Obviously, a group of people join this organisation looking for solutions to their problem, so it must be quite common amongst the population.
If you are affected by this, please keep reading as there are a lot of things that could be responsible for it…
The world that we live in today has a lot of distractions. If you live in a built up area or a City, these are always well lit – even at night.
We have available to us a never ending supply of TV programmes to watch or catch up on. Then we have the availability of our mobile devices which can keep our attention locked in for any number of hours – even well into the night.
Another thing to consider is this. If you ever study the art of Feng Shui, it will tell you that your bedroom should be a place of rest, sleep and for replenishing your energy. It should be calm, quiet and dark. Feng Shui will remind us that one of the worst things you can do is to have a television set in your bedroom, a computer, or any other electrical device for that matter.
These all give off Electro Magnetic Frequencies that affect the sleep cycle and contribute to keeping you awake at night.
The Pineal Gland is responsible for this sleep cycle and if it is interrupted, then it can lead to unsettled sleep cycles. So what is the solution then?
Well, apart from taking into consideration some of the things listed above, regular holistic treatments can be beneficial if you are having trouble sleeping and want to be more in control of this.
There are lots of practitioners out there offering all sorts of treatments that can help you to become more relaxed and to balance your energy. It’s simply a matter of awareness and finding the right one that resonates with you.
Here are some of the comments that I personally received, so I know that holistic treatments can help with this.
“It was great, thanks. I slept really well and even had another nap in the afternoon. I feel energised now that I look back.”
Steve – Shiatsu treatment.
“Thank you for the treatment. I felt really nice and relaxed and slept well.”
Kevin – Shiatsu treatment.
“Hey Stuart, I loved it. It was a great session, so relaxing and I could feel the energy moving – thank you so much. Looking forward to seeing how it settles down in the coming days. I’m tired now and ready to go to bed.”
Antonia – Reiki treatment.
As you can see, despite the distractions of our modern day society, holistic therapies can help to restore calm and bring about balance in your body.
If you are one of these people that are having trouble sleeping and you are keen to help yourself with this problem, why not consider a treatment to bring about balance in your body and restore some of your energy?
